Human-Computer Interaction Research Engineer
Alexz Farrall is a final-year PhD candidate in Human-Computer Interaction in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Bath. He is the module convenor and lecturer of the University's International Theory of HCI module that disseminates best practices of interface development and primary supervisor to BSc and MSc Computer Science students.
He is the co-investigator and team lead of the Biodevices without Borders group, which successfully funds and develops electrochemical biosensors for water quality detection in water-scarce communities.
Through his PhD, Alexz has been recognized to have expertise pertaining to the UN Sustainable Development Goals of ‘Good Health and Well-being’ and 'Clean Water and Sanitation', and has been publicly recognised as an inventor of a Biofeedback Physical Artefact for Well-being Support Shape-Changing Biofeedback Physicalization; reaching over 270 million people, across six continents.
